Social Responsibility Programme

FFETA is committed to uplifting the communities in which we operate. We have a particular focus on children affected by burn injuries, and the environment.

Hannah's Place of Safety

Hannah's Place of Safety

The organisation provides safety and care to abandoned, abused and neglected babies in a home-like environment. Infants are place by the Department of Social Development and remain at the home for 3-6 months until they can be reunified with their biological families or placed with the best possible foster parents.

The organisation is in desperate need of monthly donations to cover the cost of caring for these little ones, including medical expenses, as well as salaries for the staff and other expenses. As a registered PBO, they are able to provide Section 18A Tax Certificates if required.

Honey Badger Camps

Honey Badger Camps

Honeybadger Camps take place in the Southern Cape region, targeting teenagers from the Overberg District and surrounding areas. “Keeping the kids out of gangs” became their vision. The aim is to set youth on a new course away from the dangers within their communities. Through participation in the camps, teenagers are given HOPE: Honour, Opportunity, Purpose, and Empowerment.

Honeybadger Camps require assistance through donations of equipment, food, and money. They are also looking for camp volunteers who have skills to share and time to invest.

At the last committee meeting, it was agreed that FFETA would sponsor or provide assistance to one CSR programme each year commencing with Honeybadger Camps, as they have been the first to come forward with a request for help.
