FFETA Committee
As promised, we are introducing you to the three new members of your FFETA Committee.
These are Christiaan Maré., Griselda Esterhuizen and last butcertainly not least, Cindy Coombs
CHRISTIAAN MARÉ.
Is the Project and Quality Manager for Fire-Quip in Bloemfontein. He matriculated from Grey College in Bloemfontein in 2010. He only started with Fire-Quip in September 2024 and is new to the fire industry and works primarily with the fire detection and gas suppression side of things.
GRISELDA ESTERHUIZEN
Is the CEO of TDWC Group in Cape Town. She is analytical, goal and detail orientated with a track record of resolving challenges and propel business growth. She is responsible for all operational aspects within her business ensuring that the teams are working in accordance with all the legal requirements and relevant standards She has qualifications in Developmental Psychology, Business Management, SHERQ and Risk Management. She has also completed an Internal Auditors Course. We welcome her to the committee and she can be assured we will put her skills to good use. Alongside Lizl, Griselda will be promoting FFETA in the Western Cape – and she has already been pushing FFETA membership on her Linked In Profile – so go Griselda.
CINDY COOMBS
Is the General Manager at Bay Fire Safety Solutions in Port Elizabeth, bringing 7 years of valuable industry experience to our committee. As a qualified SAQCC technician, she combines technical expertise with strong operational leadership. Cindy oversees all company operations at Bay Fire Safety Solutions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality fire safety services to clients. She has a comprehensive knowledge of fire safety products and compliance requirements which helps develop and maintain strong relationships with both commercial and residential clients. At the first meeting of the year, she was appointed to market FFETA in the Eastern Cape area alongside Barry.
FFETA BIDS FAREWELL
We are also very sorry to advise you that we are saying goodbye to Belinda van der Merwe. She has resigned from the FFETA committee, which she has served on as a very active member for a number of years, being past Chair as well as the current Treasurer. We wish her well for her future endeavours.
