  • Have you paid your annual subscription for the 2023-2024 year yet? You will only receive a certificate once proof of payment has been received along with a signed copy of the FFETA Code of Conduct.

  • Are you still waiting for your certificate? We have several in the office where we have not been provided with the details of your postnet branch or where we were informed it would be collected and it is still here waiting for collection.

  • New decals have been produced with the new FFETA logo. We are supplying each company with two for vehicles and two for windows along with their renewal certificate. You can purchase additional decals at a cost of R20 each.

  • Lithium-Ion battery fires are on the increase and currently there are no approved extinguishers specifically for these so they cannot be serviced. Class D fire extinguishers will be effective on most flammable metals. Lithium-ion creates oxygen when ignited which makes it extremely difficult to extinguish. Protection from overheating seems to be the only solution at this stage. Li-Ion extinguishing mediums are non approved at this stage.
