FFETA Event: Gauteng
This was held at Fahrenheit Restaurant, on the Thursday evening following the AGM. It saw a huge turnout for a mid-week function and proved a huge success. Once again, it followed the Oscar Night Theme with the best dressed awards. For a change, to give our committee members some respite, we had hired an events company to organise a Wild Card Bingo evening which proved so much fun and a lot of laughter, see the photographs below to see who won what!
Our Chair, Pre Govender, and Vice Chair, Sean Okhuysen, were presented with a T-Shirt and Cap each – representing their personal interests - to the hilarity of those present which was totally unexpected on their part. Unfortunately, Barry Quicke who had acted as MC at all these events, was not present so his gift was posted to him, but we still made him take a photograph. This was a gesture of thanks to the three of them for hosting and providing the entertainment at all the FFETA functions held around the country since April.
That was the last of the functions for this our 50th year, so now we are back down to earth. Next on the calendar will be Cape Town in April 2025 – so watch this space for more information, as we must now put on our thinking caps as to what to do next year.
