SANS Updates

Fifth edition of the SANS 10400-T standard (Fire Protection)! This eagerly awaited update, published in March 2024, replaces the previous 2020 edition and brings with it significant enhancements and clarifications. The 2024 edition incorporates the latest insights and best practices in fire protection.

SANS 543:2023 Standard Released

This latest edition brings essential updates and improvements to fire safety equipment, specifically focusing on fire hose reels with semi-rigid hoses. The SANS 543:2023 standard sets forth requirements for the construction and performance of fire hose reel systems. These systems are designed for installation in buildings and other construction works, where they are permanently connected to a water supply. The standard covers dimensions, materials, and performance criteria for fire hose reels fitted with semi-rigid hoses.

SANS 347:2024:ED3.01

Categorization and conformity assessment criteria for all pressure equipment, has been approved for publication and will be available for sale once the publication process has been finalized.
