This has now been around for a number of years and once again, we would like to inform all FFETA members that this is not approved. It can only be used as an “add on” to the legal requirements set out in 10105 and 10400 T-section. Please ensure your clients and potential customers are aware of this as they are being sold everywhere even on Amazon CPSC (The American Consumer Product Safety Commission) has warned all consumers to immediately top using these due to their failure to extinguish fires – and in particular where they are being marketed to cover lithium- ion battery installations! And we all know they are impossible to put out by normal methods.
